Minor Midgets Crowned GTHL Champions

Toronto Marlboros Minor Midgets Crowned 2017 - 2018 GTHL Champions

The Marlboros Minor Midget Team was hard-pressed by a strong Mississauga Reps team throughout the championship series.  Had it not been for a strong team and not by individual performances, the outcome may have been different.  Despite playing with an injured line-up, in any given game, different players rose to the challenge to take responsibility for the outcome.  In Game 7 the line-up was depleted to 6 Forwards and 4 Defensemen, but the team persevered to hold on for the 3-2 victory.  The coaching staff, the parents and the organization could not be prouder of the players.

Next week, the team has one more hurdle to prove their true distinction in the OHL Cup; a showcase precluding the OHL Priority Draft.  The tournament will feature all the top teams in Ontario as well as two select teams from the U.S.

Good Luck!
