OHL 2010 Priority Selection Draft
On May 1st, 2010, fourteen Toronto Marlboro 1994 aged players were selected by various Ontario Hockey League teams in the Priority Selection Draft with Scott Laughton leading the way. This number was one more than the previous year which was a Marlboro record at the time. The Organization is very appreciative of their loyalty and extremely proud of their success. Congratulations on a well-earned reward for years of dedication and commitment.
As an aside, Steve Simmons a hockey writer expressed this anecdote in the May, 2nd Sports Section of the Toronto Sun... "A good lesson for hockey parents: Of the first 61 picks in the OHL draft, 19 came from the GTHL. Translation: If you're one of the 190 AAA players in Toronto, you have a 1 in 10 chance of being a reasonably high pick for major junior."
