Atoms Visit Chartwell Scarlett Heights Seniors Residence

On Saturday, December 16th, our Atom team chose to take it beyond the rink.

After their win that afternoon, the boys suited up, sporting their Remembrance Day camouflage hoodies and made their way to Chartwell Scarlett Heights Seniors Residence in Toronto to offer some holiday cheer in the form of song! Yes, these boys are talented both on-and-off the ice.

With little time to rehearse during this busy time between season games, practices, school concerts and much more, they put on their smiles and were received with applause and adoration.  Singing a few holiday classics and then personally interacting with the residents, this made the seniors’ day and brought a little more of the comfort and friendship needed at this time of year.

One of the residents was Dr. Charles Bull who donned his Marlboro sweater and greeted the boys with a big smile.   Dr. Bull was the former OHL Toronto Marlboro team doctor for about 40 years.

Based on the success of this event, a yearly encore may be required.

Happy Holidays everyone!
