Marlboro Atoms Capture 2018/2019 Silver Stick

The 2008 Toronto Marlboros travelled to Sarnia Ontario this past weekend to participate in the 2018/2019 International Silver Stick Invitational.

Throughout the weekend these  young men demonstrated compete, perseverance and discipline at the highest level to overcome any adversity they were faced with.

After seeding first in the 2008 Atom Division, the 2008 Marlboros met the 12th ranked Dallas Stars Elite in the semi-finals defeating the Stars 3-1 going on to face the 6th ranked Chicago Mission in the finals – defeating Chicago 5-3. All 16 players contributed to the teams success – congratulation boys!

The International Silver Stick committee recognized three Toronto Marlboro players to the 2018/2019 All Star Team. Matthew Humphries and Martin Alaily were the two goalies selected by the committee to the All Star team, along with forward Weston Cameron. Furthermore, the International Silver Stick Committee went on to recognize Weston Cameron with the Tom Norris Memorial Award – Most outstanding Atom Hockey Player in the 2019 Silver Stick Invitational.

The coaching staff congratulates all players on an outstanding weekend and once again we would like to thank all families for their continued support and commitment to the team.

2005 Marlies went undefeated over 6 games to capture the Championship in Detroit this past weekend.
