Major Atom Marlboros Take Pro Hockey Life Cup

Major Atom (08) Toronto Marlboros Take Pro Hockey Life Cup

On behalf of the 2008 Toronto Marlboros coaching staff we would like to congratulate each player on an outstanding season. The 2008 Toronto Marlboros ended the 2018/2019 season with a 29-2-2 record clinching first place in the Atom division.

The 2018/2019 Atom division saw the top three teams in a very tight race. The Junior Canadians were two points behind the Marlboros right up until the last game of the season. The players knew that in order to secure first place and avoid a one game play-off, they would have to win four straight games with the last game being against the defending champions Vaughn Kings – and they did exactly that!

The successful feat of clinching first comes with three tournament championships and one finalists. The coaches are extremely proud of each player and thank them for their commitment, dedication and endless effort given each night at the rink. These young men persevered and battled through two months of a short bench due to injuries. During those difficult months these young men never once found an excuse or reason to quit – gentleman your actions are admirable. We thank each player for representing the organization with class and humility at all times.

The coaching staff would also like to give a special thanks to Sophie Jovanovic, Kaiden Khayat, Nate Feiner and Roman Clemente from the 2009 Marlboros for assisting when needed. Also, thank-you to head coach Lee Jinman of the 2009 team for always being supportive and accommodating when players were called upon. A special thank-you to Goalie coach Dave Kennedy, we thank you for your support and excellence and all you have done for the team. Last, to PowerEdge Pro “PEP” we thank you for refining the skills of these young men throughout the year.

Once again, congratulations boys and the coaching staff is very proud of you all
