Marlboros Grad Jack Hughes Joins Elite Marlboros Company in NHL as Overall #1 Draft Pick in 2019

2019 NHL Draft

Jack Hughes joins the likes of Connor McDavid, John Tavares and Rick Nash, also Marlboro graduates in being selected 1st Overall in the 2019 NHL Draft.  Jack spent his minor hockey years as a proud member of both the GTHL Mississauga Rebels and the Toronto Marlboros; eventually graduating from the Marlboros as Captain of the Minor Midgets. He captained the OHL Cup Minor Midgets before heading to Michigan to join the U.S. National Development Program.

Marlboros wish Jack all the success with his new home, the New Jersey Devils.  A salute to proud parents Ellen & Jim; and to brother Quinn another Marlboro Grad with the Vancouver Canucks. 3rd brother Luke…perhaps with hard work, if the stars align you are next to join your brothers in the NHL.

Following Jack in later rounds to join the class of 2019 was former Marlboro teammate Graeme Clarke.  He was chosen 80th Overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 3rd Round.  Both could be re-united as teammates with the Devils in the future.
