Toronto Marlboros Hockey Club are wearing camo jerseys for the next three weeks to acknowledge the courage and sacrifice of our Canadian military from the past and present.

This year, our focus has been on the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I.  Remembering the battles of Ypres, The Somme, Passchendaele and Vimy Ridge gives players, staff and families some understanding of the casualties of war.

Our presentation ends with a song by Terry Kelly from Newfoundland, “A Pittance of Time”.

In Peace may they rest, lest we forget why they died.  Take a pittance of time.

Our players are encouraged to ACKNOWELDGE and REMEMBER to give THANKS to the military and their families who have sacrificed and continue to SACRIFICE so much.
