2008/09/10 NHL Draft

Although the NHL draft for the years 2008, 2009, and 2010 did not produce significant numbers in terms of players selected, the years certainly produced outstanding quality players being chosen. Most notably John Tavares in 2009 was selected in the First Round, 1st Overall; an accomplishment in the history of the minor organization only achieved by Ricky Nash a few years earlier. In 2010 Christian Thomas, a graduate of the Marlboro system was selected in the Second Round, 40th Overall to follow in the footsteps of his father Steve Thomas a long-term veteran of the NHL. The results of these years are listed below.
