In November, Toronto Marlboros Hockey Club remember and acknowledge the courage and sacrifice of our Canadian military from the past and present.
This year, our focus has been on the Battle of the Atlantic. This battle brought World War II to our Canadian shores when German U-Boats came into the Gulf of St. Lawrence and sunk Canadian merchant vessels. Learning about Canada’s military role in the past gives players an understanding of the sacrifices that military men, women and their families have made.
Marlboros encourage our players to wear a poppy and REMEMBER to give THANKS to the military and their families who have sacrificed and continue to SACRIFICE so much.
