Mario Boscarino
The Blue and White Award is presented in recognition of outstanding character and contribution to the Toronto Marlboros Hockey Club.
These recipients showcase dedication, sportsmanship, respect for others, and a true love of the sport of hockey.
This year’s recipient has been with our organization for over 7 years and along the way has had a positive impact on many families and players within the 2008 birth year. He has been a role model for his players, a leader for other coaches, and a trusted representative of the Marlboros every step of the way.
Jim Nicoletti U18 Award
Spencer McMurter
2024 marks the inaugural year of a new award for the Toronto Marlboros organization as we have created the Jim Nicoletti Award in recognition of a U18 player who has demonstrated outstanding loyalty and dedication to our club.
Since joining the organization in 1983, Jim’s mission has been to nurture the complete player and develop well-rounded citizens while focusing on family and school before sports.
This philosophy will be remembered in this new award and with it comes a $500 scholarship to any post-secondary education. This year’s recipient of the Jim Nicoletti award goes to a 2 year U18 player who his coaches describe as the ultimate team 1st player. After winning the Red Hats in the OMHA with York Simcoe, our U18 staff knew that they needed to recruit this proven winner and leader, as he became a big contributor to the outstanding 47-15 record with the Marlboros over the past two seasons. A fast and physical player who finished 3rd on his team in scoring, this recipient has always presented themselves with a high standard of dedication to the sport and his education.

Frank J. Selke Award
U13 - Lucas Young
The Frank Selke Award is presented annually in recognition of outstanding on-ice performance, leadership, and loyalty in the U10 to U13 age groups.
This year’s recipient has been a leader on his team ever since he first put on the Marlboro jersey 4 years ago. Constantly one of the hardest workers on his team, this player not only loves to be challenged but does it with a smile on his face.
No matter the drill, or the situation, he is always eager for more challenges and more work.
A true leader by example, this athlete is a competitor and hates to lose more than he loves to win.
